Having all the right equipment out in the mountains is crucial to ensure that you are prepared for any eventuality. For some, this means going out and buying the very best gear and ensuring that they own every item imaginable.
However, this can be a very costly approach, especially for those who only intend to go hill walking a few times a year. In this circumstance, it might be easier and more cost effective to hire kit.
Here at Craig Dubh Adventures we provide a selection of essential Winter equipment which is available for Hire. The price list below illustrates what we offer. Our axes, helmets and harnesses are made by DMM, and our crampons are made by CAMP. For any other item you may require, such as boots, please let us know in advance and we can make arrangements to accommodate you.

For those booking us as guides the equipment hire is included in the guide price.

Terms of Hire
1. For any item hired a £50 deposit is required. This will be reimbursed on the return of equipment in a satisfactory condition
2. Craig Dubh Adventures take no responsibility for any harm or injury incurred during the use of this equipment, if unsupervised by a Craig Dubh Adventures guide. Your hiring of this equipment is your acknowledgement of this fact
3. Price is per day. Discounts can be given for multi-day use or if hiring more than 2 items at the same time
